Introduction

The 7950 GX2 Spacer kit is the brainchild of John Hillig AKA ViperJohn who approached us with this brilliant idea a few months ago, a concept that we bought into right away.

The GX2 spacer kit doubles the spacing between the 2 cards composing nVidia's 7950GX2 VGA, allowing users to install their existing MCW60 high-performance water-block, together with the MC14 BGA Ramsinks. This provides a low-cost high performance and low-noise cooling approach to the 7950GX2 SLI card.

Compatibility

The GX2 Spacer kit is only compatible with nVidia's Geforce 7950GX2, and does preclude quad-SLI configurations.

The spacer kit is composed of a set of:

  • 3 Male-Female 4-40 standoffs
  • 1 Female-female pass-thru standoff
  • 1 Female-Female 4-40 standoff
  • 1 4-40 philips screw
  • 1 MC14 Ramsink (for the SLI switch chip)
  • 1 extended PCB.

    ChipSink is a complete family of passive heat dissipators, studied specifically for the correct cooling process for integrated motherboard chips, such as: frequency generators (PLL), power supply regulators (MOSFET), chipsets that control the peripherals (SouthBridge) and integrated controllers (RAID, SATA).

    Microcool has developed these dissipators so that they are easily installable over the seated motherboard components, that are generally lacking adequate cooling systems at the time of purchase, and that are always subject to intense heat during system overclocking and overvoltaging.

    This water supply tank "Slot-In" was designed for computer water cooling systems. It provides simple mounting, handling and cool optics. It only has to be put into an empty 3,5 slot and READY! No drilling or sawing necessary!
    By using the Slot-In, the enclosed air in the cooling system can automatically be released. The tank is to be closed with a plug, thus you'll have a closed system. No water can evaporate and thus annoying refilling can be dispensed with. This small tank is perfect for Shuttle as well as for Minibarebones.
