The differences between the Ultra 120 and the Ultra 120 Extreme are not so easy to notice. The heatsinks are virtually identical with the only difference being that the Extreme version has two extra U-shaped heatpipes. These additional heatpipes help to transfer the heat away from the CPU even faster, making it Thermalright’s most effective CPU cooler to date! The cooler utilizes the same winglet design of the Ultra-120 helping to minimize air resistance and maximize air flow. Strap on any 120mm fan and watch those high CPU temperatures go down.
