just had an idea to make a faq thread for the thread sizes of commonly used watercooling items for people wanting to upgrade to larger barb / tubing sizes

il start with the parts ive used recently:

hydor L20 * - 1/2" bsp
waterchill res - 1/2" bsp - new version uses 3/8"BSP (1/2" bsp measures 1" across flat sides of the connector, 3/8" measures 3/4" across)

thermochill rad - 3/8" bsp
waterchill standard cpu block ** - 3/8" bsp
waterchill gpu block *** - 3/8" bsp
waterchill chipset block - 3/8"bsp

waterchill rad - 1/4" BSP
innovatek tank-o-matic - 1/4" bsp

* - 10mm pushfits installed by asetek to L20 are near impossible to remove
** - standard asin the standard 2 connector block, not the new 3 connector RBX clone version
*** - do not use 90 degree barbs, there's insufficiet room to turn the second barb

if anyone wants to fill in the specs for the other blocks on the market you are more than welcome

Hi,
I am new here so hi to everyone I am coverting my innovatek w/c set up to 1/2"
I have to convert
innovatek rev 3.0 cpu water block
innovatek rev2 chipset block(clear top)
innovatek radiator

My question is you talk about BSP treads but as I gather it there are two different types
Bspp (the parallel thread)
Bspt (the tapered thread)

Which do I need for all of the above (is the radiator the same as the blocks?)

Many thanks

All Innovatek hardware uses 1/4" BSP fittings. BSP and BSPT all fit fine... the difference is very minimal... as longas PTFE tape is used you won't have a problem...

Marci, I've googled for Thermochill 120.2 specsheet, but failed.

U know wat the distance between the 2 fans is? I need to drill the holes to my case roof to mount the fan, hence need to know how far arpart 2 holes of 2 seperate fans (on the same side) are.

Appreciate if u could tell me.

Found from my experience with CSP-750 & CSP-MAG pumps

G1/4" = 1/4"BSPP

1/4"NPT will take a 1/4"BSPT fitting, the taper angle is 5 degrees different, but 5-6 wraps of PTFE does seal it sufficiently.
Just be wary using them of poly res's etc in case of overtightening and splitting.

Thanks, yes I know G1/4=1/4BSPP , it was the NPT bit that confuesed it.

Will probably order soon as I need to make some space in the case.

I'm reopening this thread for anyone in the know to submit thread sizes for other brands not listed in the originating few posts... then will update it all into one sticky.
